Query author contributions in Reactome

Reactome depends on collaboration between our curation team and outside experts to assemble and peer-review its pathway modules. The integration of ORCID within Reactome enables us to meet a key challenge with authoring, curating and reviewing biological information by incentivizing and crediting the external experts that contribute their expertise and time to the Reactome curation process. More information is available at ORCID and Reactome.

If you have an ORCID ID that is not listed on this page, please forward this information to us and we will update your Reactome pathway records.

textZMYND8 is a transcriptional regulator that interacts specifically with the GATAD2A paralog of the NuRD complex (Spruijt et al, 2016). The direct interaction is mediated by the MYND protein-protein interaction domain of ZMYND8 and a PPPL(phi) motif that is present in GATAD2A but not in GATAD2B (Spruijt et al, 2016). ZMYND8 additionally interacts with at least three other zinc-finger transcription factors, ZNF532, ZNF592 and ZNF687, which also co-purify at substoichiometric levels with NuRD complexes (Malovannaya et al, 2011; Eberl et al, 2013; Smits et al, 2013; Spruijt et al, 2016; Ghosh et al, 2018).
ZMYND8 appears to play a role in recruiting the GATAD2A-containing NuRD complex to sites of DNA double strand breaks (Gong et al, 2015; Spruijt et al, 2016).
