Query author contributions in Reactome

Reactome depends on collaboration between our curation team and outside experts to assemble and peer-review its pathway modules. The integration of ORCID within Reactome enables us to meet a key challenge with authoring, curating and reviewing biological information by incentivizing and crediting the external experts that contribute their expertise and time to the Reactome curation process. More information is available at ORCID and Reactome.

If you have an ORCID ID that is not listed on this page, please forward this information to us and we will update your Reactome pathway records.

commentFUNCTION Part of the ABC transporter complex HlyBD involved in hemolysin export. Transmembrane domains (TMD) form a pore in the inner membrane and the ATP-binding domain (NBD) is responsible for energy generation.SUBUNIT Homodimer.SUBCELLULAR LOCATION In HlyB the peptidase C39 domain, the ATP-binding domain (NBD) and the transmembrane domain (TMD) are fused.MISCELLANEOUS The complex HlyBD-TolC (OMF) forms a single transport channel across the two membranes, allowing direct export of alpha-hemolysin. This channel is involved in type 1 secretion system.SIMILARITY Belongs to the ABC transporter superfamily. Protein-1 exporter (TC 3.A.1.109) family.CAUTION Tyr-9 is present instead of the conserved Cys which is expected to be the active site residue of peptidase C39. Thus this protein is presumed to be without peptidase activity.
