Query author contributions in Reactome
Reactome depends on collaboration between our curation team and outside experts to assemble and peer-review its pathway modules. The integration of ORCID within Reactome enables us to meet a key challenge with authoring, curating and reviewing biological information by incentivizing and crediting the external experts that contribute their expertise and time to the Reactome curation process. More information is available at ORCID and Reactome.
If you have an ORCID ID that is not listed on this page, please forward this information to us and we will update your Reactome pathway records.

| text | The tripartite efflux system MacA:MacB:TolC in enterobacteria confers resistance to macrolides, for example azithromycin. The system consists of a porin TolC trimer in the outer membrane, the ATPase inner membrane pump MacB, and a binding protein, MacA, that increases the pump's capacity and affinity to macrolides. The TolC trimer projects an α-helical tunnel across the periplasm, ending at the inner membrane transporter. The transport consists of two reactions, both catalyzed by the periplasm-spanning complex. In the second reaction catalyzed by the TolC trimer, azithromycin diffuses to extracellular space (Kobayashi et al. 2001; Pei et al., 2011; reviewed by Alav et al., 2021). |
