Query author contributions in Reactome
Reactome depends on collaboration between our curation team and outside experts to assemble and peer-review its pathway modules. The integration of ORCID within Reactome enables us to meet a key challenge with authoring, curating and reviewing biological information by incentivizing and crediting the external experts that contribute their expertise and time to the Reactome curation process. More information is available at ORCID and Reactome.
If you have an ORCID ID that is not listed on this page, please forward this information to us and we will update your Reactome pathway records.

| text | Based on a mouse model of hepatic steatosis, expression of the SCD5 (also known as SCD2 or SCD4) gene, encoding Stearoyl-CoA desaturase 5 that localizes to the endoplasmic reticulum membrane, is directly stimulated by PPARG2 and the KMT2D (MLL4) complex and negatively regulated by imatinib, an inhibitor of ABL1 kinase and consequently and inhibitor of ABL1-promoted association between PPARG2 and the MLL4 complex (Kim et al. 2016). Expression of the Scd4 gene, a mouse SCD5 ortholog, is severely reduced in differentiating mouse brown preadipocytes expressing histone H3.3 K4M mutant or Kmt2c (Mll3) and Kmt2d (Mll4) with deleted SET domains (Jang et al. 2019: RNA seq, supplementary information). |
| (summation) | [BlackBoxEvent:9854146] REVIEWERS CONSIDER EVIDENCE INSUFICIENT: SCD5 gene expression is stimulated by PPARG2:RXRA:MLL4,(MLL3)-ASCOM complex [Homo sapiens] |
