Query author contributions in Reactome

Reactome depends on collaboration between our curation team and outside experts to assemble and peer-review its pathway modules. The integration of ORCID within Reactome enables us to meet a key challenge with authoring, curating and reviewing biological information by incentivizing and crediting the external experts that contribute their expertise and time to the Reactome curation process. More information is available at ORCID and Reactome.

If you have an ORCID ID that is not listed on this page, please forward this information to us and we will update your Reactome pathway records.

textUpstream Stimulatory Factor 1 (USF1) is a transcription factor that binds as a dimer to symmetrical E-box sequences (5'-CACGTG-3'). It has been identified with MITF-M as a regulator of TYR gene expression downstream of UV signaling (Galibert et al, 1998; Galibert et al, 2001; Corre et al, 2004; Corre et al, 2009). MAPK14 (also known as p38 alpha)-dependent phosphorylation of USF1 at residue T153 is promoted by UV stimulation in melanoma cells and enhances DNA-binding at the TYR promoter as assessed by ChIP and EMSA (Galibert et al, 2001).
(summation)[Reaction:9855910] USF1 is phosphorylated by p-MAPK14 [Homo sapiens]
