Query author contributions in Reactome

Reactome depends on collaboration between our curation team and outside experts to assemble and peer-review its pathway modules. The integration of ORCID within Reactome enables us to meet a key challenge with authoring, curating and reviewing biological information by incentivizing and crediting the external experts that contribute their expertise and time to the Reactome curation process. More information is available at ORCID and Reactome.

If you have an ORCID ID that is not listed on this page, please forward this information to us and we will update your Reactome pathway records.

textHuman double-stranded RNA-specific adenosine deaminase 1 (ADAR1) is part of the RNA editosome complex involved in editing host and viral dsRNA. It shuttles between cytosol and nucleus (Patterson & Samuel, 1995; Barraud et al, 2014). and can inhibit protein kinase R (PKR, EiF2AK2), leading to sustained protein translation. For this reason, ADAR1 shows proviral activity in some viral infections (VSV, measles), independent of its usually antiviral RNA editing function (Nie et al, 2007; Wang & Samuel, 2009; Toth et al, 2009; George et al, 2016; Chung et al, 2018). Interactions between ADAR1, PACT, and HIV Tat proteins diminish PKR activation during HIV infection. (Chukwurah et al, 2017).
