Query author contributions in Reactome

Reactome depends on collaboration between our curation team and outside experts to assemble and peer-review its pathway modules. The integration of ORCID within Reactome enables us to meet a key challenge with authoring, curating and reviewing biological information by incentivizing and crediting the external experts that contribute their expertise and time to the Reactome curation process. More information is available at ORCID and Reactome.

If you have an ORCID ID that is not listed on this page, please forward this information to us and we will update your Reactome pathway records.

textExperiments in MA104 cells from rhesus monkey show that simian rotavirus SA11 VP2 localizes to the cytosol (Petrie et al, 1982). It probably decamerizes immediately after translation. VP2 decamers are part of basic virion assembly units and consist of five units of VP2A and VP2B, respectively, the two being different conformations (Lu et al. 2008; Jenni et al. 2019).

Proteins from the simian rotavirus A (RV-A) SA11 and RRV strains are commonly used in experiments resulting in general claims about rotavirus A strains (Petrie et al. 1982; Lu et al. 2008; Jenni et al. 2019). However, the simian VP2 proteins are of genotype C3 and C5, while VP2 from human strains can be of genotype C1 or C2 (Matthijnssens et al, 2008). VP2 may undergo SUMOylation, which could positively regulate RV-A replication (Campagna et al. 2013).
