Query author contributions in Reactome

Reactome depends on collaboration between our curation team and outside experts to assemble and peer-review its pathway modules. The integration of ORCID within Reactome enables us to meet a key challenge with authoring, curating and reviewing biological information by incentivizing and crediting the external experts that contribute their expertise and time to the Reactome curation process. More information is available at ORCID and Reactome.

If you have an ORCID ID that is not listed on this page, please forward this information to us and we will update your Reactome pathway records.

textBile salt and acid uptake across the apical membrane of ileal enterocytes is mediated mainly by the apical sodium-dependent bile acid transporter, ASBT, whereas basolateral efflux into the portal blood system is mediated largely by the heterodimeric organic solute transporter SLC51A:SLC51B (OSTA:OSTB) (Seward et al. 2003, Ballatori et al. 2005). Heterodimerization of SLC51 alpha and beta subunits is required not only for plasma membrane localisation but also for increased stability of the proteins (Li et al. 2007).
(summation)[Reaction:9733964] SLC51A:SLC51B transports bile salts from cytosol to extracellular region [Homo sapiens]
