Query author contributions in Reactome

Reactome depends on collaboration between our curation team and outside experts to assemble and peer-review its pathway modules. The integration of ORCID within Reactome enables us to meet a key challenge with authoring, curating and reviewing biological information by incentivizing and crediting the external experts that contribute their expertise and time to the Reactome curation process. More information is available at ORCID and Reactome.

If you have an ORCID ID that is not listed on this page, please forward this information to us and we will update your Reactome pathway records.

textOne molecule of inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate (I(1,4,5)P3) binds each subunit of IP3-gated calcium channel type 3 (ITPR3) causing the calcium permeable channel of ITPR3 to open and transport calcium ions from the lumen of the endoplasmic reticulum to the cytosol (Maranto 1994, Yoneshima et al. 1997, Paknejad and Hite 2018). The binding of calcium ions to ITPR3 decreases the affinity of ITPR3 for I(1,4,5)P3 (Yoneshima et al. 1997) and calcium bound to two cytosolic sites decreases the channel activity of ITPR3 (Paknejad and Hite 2018).
