Query author contributions in Reactome

Reactome depends on collaboration between our curation team and outside experts to assemble and peer-review its pathway modules. The integration of ORCID within Reactome enables us to meet a key challenge with authoring, curating and reviewing biological information by incentivizing and crediting the external experts that contribute their expertise and time to the Reactome curation process. More information is available at ORCID and Reactome.

If you have an ORCID ID that is not listed on this page, please forward this information to us and we will update your Reactome pathway records.

textAtp2b2 (wa isoform) located in the plasma membrane of stereocilia bundles of inner hair cells and outer hair cells transports calcium ions from the cytosol to the extracellular region with concomitant hydrolysis of ATP (Dumont et al. 2001, Grati et al. 2006, Hill et al. 2006, Chen et al. 2012). Atp2b2 appears to facilitate an efflux of calcium ions that enter the stereocilia during depolarization caused by the opening of the mechanoelectrical transduction channel, hence Atp2b2 plays a role in repolarization of the cell (Beurg et al. 2010)
(summation)[Reaction:9664232] Atp2b2-wa (PMCA2-wa) transports Ca2+ from the cytosol to the extracellular region [Rattus norvegicus]
