Query author contributions in Reactome

Reactome depends on collaboration between our curation team and outside experts to assemble and peer-review its pathway modules. The integration of ORCID within Reactome enables us to meet a key challenge with authoring, curating and reviewing biological information by incentivizing and crediting the external experts that contribute their expertise and time to the Reactome curation process. More information is available at ORCID and Reactome.

If you have an ORCID ID that is not listed on this page, please forward this information to us and we will update your Reactome pathway records.

textFull-length Interleukin-33 (IL33) binds Caspase- 1, Caspase-3 and Caspase-7 (Luthi et al. 2009).
IL33 is efficiently cleaved at physiological concentrations within apoptotic cells, reducing the proinflammatory activity of IL33 (Lüthi et al. 2009), which may prevent an inappropriate immune response during apoptosis, but not in necrosis.
IL33 has been reported both as a direct substrate of caspase-1 (Cayrol & Gerarld 2009) and to not be a direct caspase-1 substrate (Lüthi et al. 2009) in both cases processing by caspases resulted in IL33 inactivation rather than production of more active shorter forms.
