Query author contributions in Reactome

Reactome depends on collaboration between our curation team and outside experts to assemble and peer-review its pathway modules. The integration of ORCID within Reactome enables us to meet a key challenge with authoring, curating and reviewing biological information by incentivizing and crediting the external experts that contribute their expertise and time to the Reactome curation process. More information is available at ORCID and Reactome.

If you have an ORCID ID that is not listed on this page, please forward this information to us and we will update your Reactome pathway records.

textEither of GPAM or GPAT2 (glycerol-3-phosphate acyltransferase, mitochondrial; glycerol-3-phosphate acyltransferase 2, mitochondrial) associated with the outer mitochondrial membrane catalyzes the reaction of cytosolic glycerol 3-phosphate and acyl-CoA to form 1-acylglycerol 3-phosphate and CoASH. The biochemical properties and location of human GPAM have been established through studies of the recombinant protein (Chen et al. 2008); those features of GPAT2 have been inferred from the properties of its rat homologue and those of GPAM. GPAM and GPAT2 differ in their their preferences for acyl-CoA substrates (Shindou & Shimizu 2009) and in their expression patterns in the body (Takeuchi & Reue 2009).
(summation)[Reaction:75886] glycerol 3-phosphate + acyl-CoA => 1-acylglycerol 3-phosphate + CoASH [mitochondrial membrane-associated] [Homo sapiens]
