textCoA can be degraded in peroxisomes by members of the Nudix (nucleoside diphosphates linked to some moiety X) hydrolase superfamily. Peroxisomes contain two members, Nudt7 and Nudt19, which hydrolyse free CoA and fatty acyl-CoA (acyl)phosphopantetheine and 3′,5′-ADP (Ofman et al. 2006).
