Query author contributions in Reactome
Reactome depends on collaboration between our curation team and outside experts to assemble and peer-review its pathway modules. The integration of ORCID within Reactome enables us to meet a key challenge with authoring, curating and reviewing biological information by incentivizing and crediting the external experts that contribute their expertise and time to the Reactome curation process. More information is available at ORCID and Reactome.
If you have an ORCID ID that is not listed on this page, please forward this information to us and we will update your Reactome pathway records.

| text | The MT1E gene is transcribed to yield mRNA which is translated to yield protein. Expression of MT1E is inducible by metals such as zinc (Garrett et al. 1998, Vandeghinste et al. 2000, Schulkens et al. 2014), cadmium (Garrett et al. 1998, Fujiwara et al. 2011), copper (Garrett et al. 1998, Bagagli et al. 2010, Schulkens et al. 2014), and arsenic (Zheng et al. 2003) and by hypoxia (Schulkens et al. 2014). The antioxidant genistin glycoside also induced expression of MT1E (Chung et al. 2006). Basal expression of MT1E is observed in a wide range of tissues (Moleirinho et al. 2011). Elevated expression of MT1E is associated with invasiveness of bladder cancer (Wu et al. 2008) and astrocytes from Parkinson's disease (Michael et al 2011). |
