Query author contributions in Reactome
Reactome depends on collaboration between our curation team and outside experts to assemble and peer-review its pathway modules. The integration of ORCID within Reactome enables us to meet a key challenge with authoring, curating and reviewing biological information by incentivizing and crediting the external experts that contribute their expertise and time to the Reactome curation process. More information is available at ORCID and Reactome.
If you have an ORCID ID that is not listed on this page, please forward this information to us and we will update your Reactome pathway records.

| text | The LCN1 (tear lipocalin, von Ebner's gland protein) gene is transcribed to yield mRNA and the mRNA is translated to yield protein. LCN1 is secreted in tears, where it is the predominant phosphoprotein and appears to act as a scavenger of lipids and other molecules (Wojnar et al. 2002, Zhao et al. 2010). LCN1 is also expressed in von Ebner's gland, salivary glands, prostate gland, and corticotrophs of the pituitary gland (Blaker et al. 1993, Glasgow 1995, Holzfeind et al. 1996, Ressot et al 1998). Expression of LCN1 is activated by zinc via MTF1 (Lichtlen et al. 2001). |
