Query author contributions in Reactome

Reactome depends on collaboration between our curation team and outside experts to assemble and peer-review its pathway modules. The integration of ORCID within Reactome enables us to meet a key challenge with authoring, curating and reviewing biological information by incentivizing and crediting the external experts that contribute their expertise and time to the Reactome curation process. More information is available at ORCID and Reactome.

If you have an ORCID ID that is not listed on this page, please forward this information to us and we will update your Reactome pathway records.

commentFUNCTION Substrate-recognition component of two distinct E3 ligase complexes, the SKP1-CUL1-FBXO44 complex and the CUL4B-DDB1-FBXO44 complex (PubMed:18203720, PubMed:25970626). The complex SCF(FBXO44) complex ubiquitinates and mediates BRCA1 degradation (PubMed:23086937). In association with cullin 4B/CUL4B and DDB1, mediates the ubiquitination of RGS2 leading to its degradation (PubMed:25970626). Additionally, regulates the pregnane X receptor/NR1I2 protein level by ubiquitination and degradation (PubMed:37969738).SUBUNIT Part of a SCF (SKP1-cullin-F-box) protein ligase complex. Interacts with SKP1 and CUL1. Interacts with CUL4B and DDB1 (PubMed:25970626). Interacts wwith BRCA1; this interaction mediates BRCA1 ubiquitination and subsequent degradation (PubMed:23086937). Interacts with RGS2; this interaction mediates RGS2 ubiquitination and subsequent degradation (PubMed:25970626). Interacts with PXR/NR1I2; this interaction mediates PXR/NR1I2 ubiquitination and subsequent degradation (PubMed:37969738).INTERACTION Abundantly expressed in brain and kidney. Expressed at lower levels in heart, spleen and liver.MISCELLANEOUS In contrast to other FBA domain containing proteins, FBXO44 demonstrates no significant binding to any of the 200 glycans tested.ONLINE INFORMATION FLAG-FBG3
