textInterleukin-6 receptor alpha is a glycosylated protein of approx. 80 kDa. It has been designated CD126. Its structure resembles that of the receptors for M-CSF, PDGF and Interleukin-1 in having an immunoglobulin-like domain in the N-terminal region of the extracellular domain.
