Query author contributions in Reactome

Reactome depends on collaboration between our curation team and outside experts to assemble and peer-review its pathway modules. The integration of ORCID within Reactome enables us to meet a key challenge with authoring, curating and reviewing biological information by incentivizing and crediting the external experts that contribute their expertise and time to the Reactome curation process. More information is available at ORCID and Reactome.

If you have an ORCID ID that is not listed on this page, please forward this information to us and we will update your Reactome pathway records.

textThe SLC17 gene family encode proteins which are organic anion transporters. There are three distinct subfamilies within SLC17; vesicular glutamate transporters (VGLUT1-3 encoded by SLC17A7,6 and 8), type I Na+-coupled phosphate co-transporters (encoded by SLC17A1-4) and a proton-coupled sialic acid co-transporter (encoded by SLC17A5) (Reimer RJ and Edwards RH, 2004).

Two members of the SLC5 gene family encode carboxylate transporters, SMCT1 and SMCT2 (Ganapathy V et al, 2008).
