Query author contributions in Reactome
Reactome depends on collaboration between our curation team and outside experts to assemble and peer-review its pathway modules. The integration of ORCID within Reactome enables us to meet a key challenge with authoring, curating and reviewing biological information by incentivizing and crediting the external experts that contribute their expertise and time to the Reactome curation process. More information is available at ORCID and Reactome.
If you have an ORCID ID that is not listed on this page, please forward this information to us and we will update your Reactome pathway records.

| text | The phosphoribosylamine-glycine ligase activity of cytosolic GART (trifunctional purine biosynthetic protein adenosine-3) catalyzes the reaction of 5-phosphoribosylamine, glycine, and ATP to form 5-phosphoribosylglycinamide (GAR), adenosine 5'-diphosphate, and orthophosphate. GART trifunctional protein has been purified from chicken liver (Daubner et al. 1985), and a cDNA encoding the chicken enzyme has been identified based on sequence similarities and its ability to complement E. coli cells whose homologous purine biosynthesis genes were mutated (Aimi et al. 1990). The subcellular location of the chicken enzyme is inferred from that of its better-characterized mammalian counterparts. |
