Query author contributions in Reactome
Reactome depends on collaboration between our curation team and outside experts to assemble and peer-review its pathway modules. The integration of ORCID within Reactome enables us to meet a key challenge with authoring, curating and reviewing biological information by incentivizing and crediting the external experts that contribute their expertise and time to the Reactome curation process. More information is available at ORCID and Reactome.
If you have an ORCID ID that is not listed on this page, please forward this information to us and we will update your Reactome pathway records.

| text | Mammalian factor H (CFH or FH) can bind both fluid phase and surface-bound C3b. CFH binding to membrane-bound C3b prevents the formation of C3 convertase on the bystander cell by blocking the binding of factor B to C3b. CFH can also act as a cofactor for serine protease factor I, leading to cleavage and inactivation of bound C3b. The events of CFH activity have not been verified experimentally in chicken but are inferred from the orthologous human events. Predicted chicken complement factor H shows 38% amino acid sequence identity with human CFH. |
