text	The LAPs of TGF-beta1 and TGF-beta3 contain RGD sequences near the carboxyl termini that are bound by RGD-binding integrins. LAP3 binds alphaVBeta1, 3, 5 and 6 (Ludbrook et al. 2003) and 8 (Kitamura et al. 2011). Binding to integrins alphaVBeta6 and alphaVBeta8 leads to TGF-beta activation.
