Query author contributions in Reactome

Reactome depends on collaboration between our curation team and outside experts to assemble and peer-review its pathway modules. The integration of ORCID within Reactome enables us to meet a key challenge with authoring, curating and reviewing biological information by incentivizing and crediting the external experts that contribute their expertise and time to the Reactome curation process. More information is available at ORCID and Reactome.

If you have an ORCID ID that is not listed on this page, please forward this information to us and we will update your Reactome pathway records.

commentFUNCTION Contactins mediate cell surface interactions during nervous system development. Has some neurite outgrowth-promoting activity in the cerebral cortical neurons but not in hippocampal neurons. Probably involved in neuronal activity in the auditory system (By similarity).SUBUNIT Interacts with PTPRG.SUBCELLULAR LOCATION Expressed in brain and kidney and at very low level in placenta. Not expressed in other tissues. In brain, it is highly expressed in the occipital lobe, amygdala, cerebral cortex, frontal lobe, thalamus and temporal lobe. Expressed at moderate level in the cerebellum, substantia nigra, putamen, medulla and hippocampus. Weakly expressed in the spinal cord and caudate nucleus. Weakly or not expressed in the corpus callosum.SIMILARITY Belongs to the immunoglobulin superfamily. Contactin family.SEQUENCE CAUTION Truncated C-terminus.
