Query author contributions in Reactome

Reactome depends on collaboration between our curation team and outside experts to assemble and peer-review its pathway modules. The integration of ORCID within Reactome enables us to meet a key challenge with authoring, curating and reviewing biological information by incentivizing and crediting the external experts that contribute their expertise and time to the Reactome curation process. More information is available at ORCID and Reactome.

If you have an ORCID ID that is not listed on this page, please forward this information to us and we will update your Reactome pathway records.

textNMNAT1 catalyzes the reaction of nicotinate D-ribonucleotide and ATP to form deamino-NAD+ (nicotinate adenine dinucleotide) and pyrophosphate (Schweiger et al. 2001). The active form of the enzyme in vitro is a hexamer (Zhou et al. 2002), and its activity is substantially greater in the presence of Zn++ than of Mg++ (Sorci et al. 2007). The predicted amino acid sequence of the enzyme contains a nuclear localization domain and the protein is observed to localize to the nucleus (Schweiger et al. 2001; Berger et al. 2005).
(summation)[Reaction:200512] NMNAT1 transfers an adenylyl group from ATP to NAMN to yield NAAD [Homo sapiens]
