Query author contributions in Reactome

Reactome depends on collaboration between our curation team and outside experts to assemble and peer-review its pathway modules. The integration of ORCID within Reactome enables us to meet a key challenge with authoring, curating and reviewing biological information by incentivizing and crediting the external experts that contribute their expertise and time to the Reactome curation process. More information is available at ORCID and Reactome.

If you have an ORCID ID that is not listed on this page, please forward this information to us and we will update your Reactome pathway records.

commentFUNCTION Atypical bHLH transcription factor that regulates photomorphogenesis through modulation of phytochrome (e.g. PHYA) and cryptochrome signalings (PubMed:10995393, PubMed:11090209, PubMed:19482971, Ref.4). Suppresses the transcriptional regulation activity of PIF4 by forming non-DNA-binding heterodimer.SUBUNIT Binds to FHY1 and FHL. Forms PHYA/FHY1/HFR1 complex (PubMed:19482971). Homodimer and heterodimer with PIF3. Do not interact alone with either phytochrome A (phyA) or B (phyB), but REP1/PIF3 complex binds to phyA and phyB, preferentially to the Pfr forms. Forms non-functional heterodimer with PRE6, causing liberation of PIF4 from the transcriptionally inactive complex HFR1-PIF4. Repressed when bound to PRE1, PRE2 and PRE4.INTERACTION Mainly expressed in fruits and flowers and, to a lower extent, in leaves, stems, seedlings and roots.DEVELOPMENTAL STAGE Expressed in early developing seeds, later present at low levels in dry seeds (PubMed:23708772). Observed during seed imbibition (PubMed:23708772).INDUCTION Twofold induction by far-red light and 14-fold suppression by red light. Up-regulated by abscisic acid (ABA), heat and salt (NaCl) (PubMed:23708772). Follows a free-running robust circadian rhythm, with higher levels during the light phase (PubMed:23708772).DISRUPTION PHENOTYPE Partially blind to far-red (FR). Impaired inhibition of hypocotyl elongation and cotyledons expansion under continuous FR light conditions.CAUTION Contains a degenerate basic motif not likely to bind DNA.
