Query author contributions in Reactome
Reactome depends on collaboration between our curation team and outside experts to assemble and peer-review its pathway modules. The integration of ORCID within Reactome enables us to meet a key challenge with authoring, curating and reviewing biological information by incentivizing and crediting the external experts that contribute their expertise and time to the Reactome curation process. More information is available at ORCID and Reactome.
If you have an ORCID ID that is not listed on this page, please forward this information to us and we will update your Reactome pathway records.

| text | Plant B-type cyclin promoters contain a common cisacting element, called the M-specific activator (MSA) element, which is necessary and sufficient to direct G2/M-specific gene expression. The MSA motif was also identified in the promoter of a G2/M-specific gene that encodes a kinesin-like protein, NACK1, suggesting that a defined set of G2/M-specific genes are co-regulated by a common MSA-mediated mechanism in plants. Three different Myb-like proteins, NtmybA1, NtmybA2, and NtmybB, were identified in a search for MSA-binding factors. NtmybB is expressed constitutively during the cell cycle, and NtmybA1 and NtmybA2 specifically at the G2/M transition, when B-type cyclin genes are transcribed. Furthermore, NtmybB is a repressor of MSA-containing promoters, whereas NtmybA1 and NtmybA2 are activators. Hence, plants, like animals, contain Myb proteins that play a role in cell proliferation; however, plant Myb proteins seem to be involved in the G2/M transition whereas mammalian ones are involved in the G1/S transition. |
