Query author contributions in Reactome
Reactome depends on collaboration between our curation team and outside experts to assemble and peer-review its pathway modules. The integration of ORCID within Reactome enables us to meet a key challenge with authoring, curating and reviewing biological information by incentivizing and crediting the external experts that contribute their expertise and time to the Reactome curation process. More information is available at ORCID and Reactome.
If you have an ORCID ID that is not listed on this page, please forward this information to us and we will update your Reactome pathway records.

| text | At the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) membrane, phosphatidylcholine (PC) is hydrolysed, and has one of its acyl chains cleaved off, by cytosolic phospholipase A2 alpha/beta/delta/epsilon/zeta (PLA2G4A/B/D/E/F) (Ghomashchi et al. 2010). This produces 2-acyl lysophosphatidylcholine (LPC). Cytosolic phospholipase A2 enzymes show not only PLA2 hydrolysing activity to form the 1-acyl lysophospholipid but also have a degree of PLA1 activity, producing a 2-acyl lysophospholipid. |
| (summation) | [Reaction:1482862] PC is hydrolysed to 2-acyl LPC by PLA2[7] [Homo sapiens] |
