Query author contributions in Reactome
Reactome depends on collaboration between our curation team and outside experts to assemble and peer-review its pathway modules. The integration of ORCID within Reactome enables us to meet a key challenge with authoring, curating and reviewing biological information by incentivizing and crediting the external experts that contribute their expertise and time to the Reactome curation process. More information is available at ORCID and Reactome.
If you have an ORCID ID that is not listed on this page, please forward this information to us and we will update your Reactome pathway records.

| text | In mammals, IRF3 and IRF7 (IRF3/IRF7) are the two major members of the interferon regulatory factor (IRF) family, involved in regulation of the pathogen-induced IFN gene expression. Cormican et al (2009) reported that avian species lack the IRF3 gene. Indeed, bioinformatics analysis of chicken genome has identified IRF family member that is referred to as IRF3 or IRF7 depending on database reffered. Although the overall sequence shows high level of homology with IRF7 from other species, the specific activation sites of mammalian IRF3 are conserved in the chicken IRF ortholog. In this project chicken IRF is annotated as counterpart of the mammalian IRF3. |
