Query author contributions in Reactome

Reactome depends on collaboration between our curation team and outside experts to assemble and peer-review its pathway modules. The integration of ORCID within Reactome enables us to meet a key challenge with authoring, curating and reviewing biological information by incentivizing and crediting the external experts that contribute their expertise and time to the Reactome curation process. More information is available at ORCID and Reactome.

If you have an ORCID ID that is not listed on this page, please forward this information to us and we will update your Reactome pathway records.

commentFUNCTION Forms a channel through the mitochondrial outer membrane that allows diffusion of small hydrophilic molecules. The channel adopts an open conformation at low or zero membrane potential and a closed conformation at potentials above 30-40 mV. The open state has a weak anion selectivity whereas the closed state is cation-selective (By similarity).SUBCELLULAR LOCATION Expressed in shoots and roots. Also expressed in callus, leaves, panicles, sheaths and stems.DEVELOPMENTAL STAGE Highly expressed during the first days following germination and then decreases in the later growth stages.INDUCTION Not induced by osmotic stress.DOMAIN Consists mainly of membrane-spanning sided beta-sheets.SIMILARITY Belongs to the eukaryotic mitochondrial porin (TC 1.B.8.1) family.
